You’re listening to Azza’s Half Hour where today we are focusing on Maroon 5 that was a song entitled “Harder To Breathe”.
The American pop rock band Maroon 5 originally named Kara’s Flowers was formed in the early 90’s. In June 2002 under the name Maroon 5 the group released their debut album “Songs About Jane”. The record was a surprise hit and reached number 1 on the charts in countries including Australia, France, Ireland, New Zealand and the U.K plus made it to number 6 on the U.S Billboard chart. Singles from “Songs About Jane” were “Harder To Breathe”, “This Love”, “Sunday Morning”, “Must Get Out” and “She Will Be Loved”.
“This Love” was written by lead singer Adam Levine and reached number 8 on the Aussie charts and number 5 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100. Here is that track right now on Azza’s Half Hour.

Welcome back to Azza’s Half Hour that was a track by Maroon 5 entitled “This Love”.
In 2004 Maroon 5 released a live acoustic EP which was recorded in January 2003 at the Hit Factory in New York. The CD featured acoustic versions of 5 tracks from “Songs About Jane” as well as two cover songs which were The Beatles hit “If I Fell” and a live version of AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell” recorded in Germany. The EP charted in at number 42 in America and number 58 in the U.K.
Now on the show is an acoustic track from the EP entitled “She Will Be Loved”.
3. “She Will Be Loved (Acoustic)”
Almost 5 years after the release of “Songs About Jane” Maroon 5 brought out their second studio album entitled “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” which reached number 5 on the Aussie charts and number 1 on the U.S charts. The record has a different sound than the group’s debut album and draws inspiration from artists including Talking Heads, Michael Jackson and Prince. Standouts off the album include “If I Never See Your Face Again”, “Makes Me Wonder”, “Wake Up Call” and “Won’t Go Home Without You”.
“Makes Me Wonder” was the first single from “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” and became an instant hit worldwide reaching number 6 in Australia and number 1 in America and Canada. While “If I Never See Your Face Again” is the opening track on the album and features lead singer Adam Levine on vocals. In 2008 the song was remixed and turned into a duet with R&B artist Rihanna and charted in at number 11 on the Australian charts as well as number 10 on the U.S charts.

In September 2010 Maroon 5 released their third studio album “Hands All Over”. The record debuted at number 2 on the U.S Billboard chart and reached number 7 on the ARIA chart. Standouts on the album are the title track along with “Misery”, “Give A Little More”, “Stutter”, “Never Gonna Leave This Bed” and “Get Back In My Life”. The first single from “Hands All Over” was “Misery” which was available prior to the albums release and reached number 1 on the U.S Adult Top 40 chart. The song also made it to number 10 in Ireland, number 13 in Canada and number 39 in Australia.
