MIX TAPE
Welcome to Azza’s Half Hour, today’s edition of the show is Azza’s Mix Tape where we will be listening to a variety of different artists and a variety of different genres. There is a lot to get through in the next 30 minutes so let’s kick it off with a classic Rolling Stones track from their 16th studio album “Tattoo You” entitled “Start Me Up”.

Next up on this Mix Tape show is a track by American rock band, Aerosmith. In 1987 Aerosmith had released their ninth studio album entitled “Permanent Vacation”, the record reached number 11 on the Billboard 200 chart and hits featured on it include “Rag Doll”, “Dude (Looks like a Lady)” and “Angel”.

Our next artist is Elvis Presley, a legendary American rock n roll singer that had a huge number of hits in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. His first hit was “Heartbreak Hotel” it was released in 1956 and was the best selling single of that year. In America the song entered the Pop charts at number 68 plus the Country and Western charts at number 9. In less than two months “Heartbreak Hotel” was number one on both charts and this along with touring, television and radio airplay resulted in it becoming Presley’s first Gold record.

3. “Heartbreak Hotel”

This song is by an up and coming Melbourne musician named Michael Paynter. You may know Michael from when he performed the Noisework’s hit “Touch” at the memorial service for the Black Saturday Bushfires and his first single “Closer” has been used on Australian television. This track is entitled “Novocaine” and is currently available on his official website michaelpaynter.com when you sign up. That was “Novocaine” by Michael Paynter let’s move on to our next track by Aussie rockers AC/DC.
AC/DC released their fourth studio album “Let There Be Rock” in 1977 songs featured on the classic album were “Go Down”, “Whole Lotta Rosie”, the title track “Let There Be Rock”, and the song you are about to hear now “Dog Eat Dog”. The song was written by lead singer Bon Scott along with Angus Young and his brother Malcolm.

Welcome back, the next song on the show is by three time Country Music Channel Oz Artist Of The Year Adam Brand.
Adam released his 7th album in 2009 entitled “Hell of a Ride” it reached number 2 on the Australian country chart and featured the tracks “Stupid Today”, “Crazy Like That”, “Hell of a Ride”, “Kissing the Phone” and the first single “Ready for Love”.

Tom Richardson released his debut album “Evolution” in 2008 some of the standout tracks from the record were the title track “Evolution”, “Sega Na Lega”, “Young Woman Blues”, “Don’t Ever Let Nobody Drag Your Spirit Down” and our final track for today’s show “One Platform Station”.
