Having spent a year and a half touring for the Foo Fighters record “One By One” lead singer Dave Grohl didn’t want to rush into recording a new album. Grohl initially intended to write acoustic material by himself but eventually the entire band was involved. The Foo Fighters album “In Your Honor” was released in June 2005 and was unique because of the fact that it was divided into two separate discs, one was full of rock songs and the other was full of acoustic tracks. Standouts on disc one were the title track along with “No Way Back”, “End Over End”, “Best Of You”, “DOA” and “Resolve”. While standouts on disc two were “Miracle”, “Friend Of A Friend” and “Cold Day In The Sun”. “In Your Honor” reached number 2 on the U.S charts and number 1 on the charts in the U.K, Finland, New Zealand and Australia.
