You’re listening to Azza’s Half Hour where today we are focusing on the Ian Moss record “Six Strings” and that was a song entitled “Telephone Booth”. “Six Strings” is an acoustic album which was recorded live and solo in a Sydney Hotel as part of the “Liberation Blue: Acoustic Series”. “Six Strings” was released in May 2005 and features some new tracks along with many of Moss’s classic songs from his solo career and Cold Chisel.
Two standout tracks on the album from Ian’s time in Cold Chisel are “Saturday Night” and “My Baby”. “Saturday Night” was a single from Cold Chisel’s 1984 record “Twentieth Century” and charted in at number 11 on the Aussie charts. The song is a well known Chisel hit which features both Ian Moss and Jimmy Barnes on vocals. “My Baby” was from the 1980 album “East” and also featured Moss on vocals.
Here are the acoustic versions of both tracks right now on Azza’s Half Hour.
