MUSIC FROM 2004
Hello and welcome to Azza’s Half Hour I’m your host Aaron Gillin. On this edition of the show we will be listening to music from the year 2004. Jon Stevens, Keith Urban, Spiderbait and Adam Brand are some of the artists that will be featured on today’s programme but first off here is a song by American rock band Counting Crows from the “Shrek 2” soundtrack entitled “Accidentally In Love”.

Welcome back you’re listening to Azza’s Half Hour where today we are listening to music from the year 2004 that was “Accidentally In Love” by Counting Crows. It’s time for our next song on the show by Australian rock band Spiderbait.
On the 17th of August 2004 Spiderbait released their 6th studio album entitled “Tonight Alright”. The record was certified gold and reached number 14 on the charts. A standout single from “Tonight Alright” was a cover of the Leadbelly and Ram Jam hit “Black Betty”. Spiderbait’s version was a big success in Australia as it reached number 1 on charts.
Now on Azza’s Half Hour here is Spiderbait’s highest selling single “Black Betty”.

The year 2004 saw former Noiseworks lead singer Jon Stevens release a solo album called “Ain’t No Life For The Faint Hearted”. The modern R&B album featured the songs “See You Round”, “Rock With Me”, “Get Low” and “Stand Alone” plus a cover of The Doors classic “Light My Fire”.
Also in 2004 Australian country music singer Adam Brand released his fourth studio album “Get Loud”. It was certified gold peaking at number 16 on the ARIA charts and number 2 on the country charts. Great songs from “Get Loud” include the title track along with “She’s Country”, “This Time Of Year”, “Lifetime Friends” and “We’re Makin’ Up”.
Here on Azza’s Half Hour are two songs first “Stand Alone” by Jon Stevens and then “We’re Makin’ Up” by Adam Brand.

This is Azza’s Half Hour where today we are listening to music from the year 2004 that was “We’re Makin’ Up” by Adam Brand.
In 2004 American Metal band Seether teamed up with Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee to record a duet entitled “Broken”. The single appeared on the soundtrack for a film called “The Punisher” and Seether’s second album “Disclaimer 2”. “Broken” peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and in Australia it reached the 3rd position on the ARIA charts.
Now on the show is this impressive track by Seether & Amy Lee.

In late 2004 country musician Keith Urban released the album “Be Here” it reached the 11th position on the Australian charts and featured the singles “Days Go By”, “You’re My Better Half”, “Making Memories Of Us”, “Better Life” and “Tonight I Wanna Cry”. “Be Here” was certified 2 times platinum in Australia and 9 of the songs that appear on the album were written by Keith.
Now on the programme is a great track from “Be Here” by Keith Urban which is entitled “She’s Gotta Be”.

In 2004 Jimmy Barnes along with ex members of bands such as Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Deep Purple released an album under the band name Living Loud. The self titled album featured songs originally sung by Ozzy Osbourne as well as some original material. Standouts on the record include “Last Chance”, “Every Moment A Lifetime”, “Crazy Train”, “In The Name Of God”, “Flying High Again” and “Mr. Crowley”.
